ASHE NCNJ Meeting – Bridge Emergencies & Forensic Analysis –
Knowing the Cause Before You Design was held on November 8, 2018.

ASHE NCNJ President J.P. Magron (HDR)  welcomed Brian J. Strizki, PE, Senior VP with JMT in Trenton NJ and formerly the NJDOT State Transportation Engineer to present on the importance  of conducting a forensic analysis before preparing plans and specifications for Emergency Bridge Repairs. Brian presented two case studies – Emergency Bridge Repairs for Route 3 over the Hackensack River (NJDOT) and Emergency Structural Repairs for two failed retaining walls supporting Jersey Gardens Boulevard over Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railroads (City of Elizabeth).
